Two Weeks, 2400+ Jobs
Jul 2 2020

The tail end of June has proven to be a success for Tennessee’s economic development efforts.

Governor Bill Lee and TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced more than 2,400 new job commitments stemming from four projects over the course of a two-week period. These projects, which represent nearly $80 million in private capital investment, cover four different sectors ranging from headquarters to manufacturing.

While three of the projects were expansions, one is the newest company to call Tennessee home. QTC, a provider of disability and occupational health exam services, will invest $5 million to establish an operations center in Nashville. The investment will create 410 new jobs over the next five years.

Governor Lee stated that “now more than ever, we need to ensure that Tennesseans have access to quality job opportunities.” He believes that this news will help “get Tennesseans back to work and our state economy back in full swing.”

South of Nashville in Williamson County, Ramsey Solutions will expand its corporate campus with a new 192,000-square-foot office building. This expansion will create 600 new jobs with a capital investment of $52 million. This is part of Ramsey Solutions’ continued expansion, which started in 2015 when the company closed on 47 acres of land in the Berry Farms development.

Heading east, TTI Floor Care North America announced it will invest $20 million to increase manufacturing at its Cookeville facility, creating 500 jobs over a five-year period. This growth will allow for building improvements, upgrades and the addition of multiple production lines and products.

The most recent announcement comes from Clarksville. Agero, the leading B2B provider of driver assistance services, will invest $2 million to expand its Montgomery County operations. The project will create 900 new jobs by 2025, which will more than double Agero’s employment in Clarksville.

“TNECD is committed to continue supporting our businesses and communities as we get Tennessee’s economy back on track. Agero’s plan to create 900 jobs is encouraging news for Clarksville and Middle Tennessee,” Commissioner Rolfe said.

All told, supporting Tennessee’s businesses and communities remains TNECD’s top priority. These new additions and significant expansions will be essential to reboot the state’s economy to get it back on track.
