THE BID DATE FOR THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO JUNE 12, 2024. THE TIME AND LOCATION OF THE BID OPENING HAVE NOT CHANGED.
GENERAL
Questions and Responses No. 1
1. Is the landside dredge material disposal included in the bid for this work?
ANSWER:
Yes, the scope of work for this bid includes the dredge work in the river and disposal of the dredged material as indicated in the plan sheets and specs.
2. We have had a request to allow one additional week for bid submittal/opening regarding the TCEA Terminal Dredging Requests for Bid on the Cumberland River near Hartsville.
ANSWER:
TCEA has given permission to move the bid opening date to 10 AM on June 12th.
3. We are wondering if there are any borings?
ANSWER:
We do not have access to any borings, but the entire proposed dredging area has previously been dredged (both in depth and footprint). It was an operational barge terminal when they were building the TVA powerplant.
4. How soon do you think the port will be operational?
ANSWER:
TCEA anticipates the terminal being in use shortly after dredging is complete. bulk products that want to move this fall. There are bulk products that want to move this fall.
