Regional Asset Based Planning & ThreeStar Programs

April has been a busy month for our communities as they outline their assets, establish S.M.A.R.T goals for growth, and apply for their ThreeStar awards.  

Thank you, TN ECD department, for establishing the ThreeStar program which helps ready communities to attract new companies, jobs, and economic growth.  

Pictured below is Smith County's recent session, who has received over 30 Three Star awards, making them one of the most consistent in the state of TN! 

Smith County is fortunate to have two rivers running through it, the Caney and Cumberland, as well as, the 12,000 acre Cordell Hull lake and recreation area. The city of Carthage is run on the hydro power generated by Cordell Hull dam.  

We look forward to working with their goals of enhancing their workforce, poat-secondary institutions, and tourism.
