State Representative Keisling visits Macon County

State Representative Kelly Keisling spoke at Macon County Chamber of Commerce's monthly luncheon on September 22, 2015.  Representative Keisling gave the Chamber updates on a variety of topics such as the State budget and the conclusion the Commissioner Schroer's and Governor Haslam's listening tour on transportation and infrastructure needs throughout the state.  The State has a $6.1M backlog of projects addressing economic development, safety, and access; the legislature is currently seeking options to address the budget.  Other topics included the State board of Education reviewing social studies standards.  The Macon County Chamber meets on the third Tuesday of every month.
